BaySolar began its involvement in Europe with a series of medium-sized open-air and roof-top systems. Soon, the company was able to prove its competence as a project developer, EPC and operator, even when it came to realising particularly demanding projects. Important milestones on this path were the Airport Weeze solar park, the largest photovoltaic power station in North Rhine-Westphalia, and the company’s involvement in the Neuhardenberg solar project, the largest photovoltaic power plant in Germany.
In 2012/2013, BaySolar is expanding its involvement, particularly into the South-East European regions. Currently, the company is involved in the construction of five major photovoltaic projects in Romania. At the same time, BaySolar is consolidating its position on the German market with four solar power plants that are currently under construction. With the Grugliasco (Piedmont) solar park, BaySolar is also entering the Italian solar market for the first time.
Solar power plants with a total of 200 MWp of nominal power are currently in the planning and development phase worldwide. BaySolar is also brilliantly equipped to take the next step to becoming one of the leading international project developers and EPCs of major photovoltaic systems.
